Is it a bird? A plane?

What should I see at my last soccer game but this beautiful bird.  I wasn’t able to play because I had a concussion but I made sure to take lots of pictures of my teammates.  But my coach saw the hawk and said it would make good pictures, so of course I did.  It’s a wonderful bird but it also shows that where I go to school, while it might not be as far away from everything as where I live, it still reminds me of home with the natural beauty surrounding it.  

Not many things make me happier than things like this.  It’s something that seems really odd but I think’s it’s a way to connect with the places you are and relate them to everywhere else you’ve been.

FOR PROM!!!

At the last football game of the season.  My class had a bake sale to raise money so that our prom would e cheaper.  We doesn’t the food look great?!?!  People bought a lot but we still had some left over…. just kidding that’s a lie.  As the game ended two of our player mothers said that they would buy whatever we had left.  It was so sweet and while I don’t know how much we raised I would guess it’s around $300.  So even though none of you where there, probably, I just feel like thanking everybody I see so THANKS!!!  I can go to prom without spending as much money.

People loved the food too, I have to complement my grade there on being excellent bakers.  There was something for every taste.  We got a bunch of support for something that while isn’t the most important thing in the world, is something that we’ll never forget.  Now I just have to find a prom dress!!

And We All Fall Down

       Ha, I’m getting a post in during my free period of school.  It’s nice to be able to have a tiny bit of free time to do this, although I probably should be working on something.  Some time you just need to take a break. So last weekend some of my friends and I went to the swings that we have on campus.  It was nice to swing and also to just lay in the grass and have fun.

Welp….

      Well I’ve been on quite a break because of school.  It’s a lot different to not have any time at all  and having just a bit of time like I do when I’m home.   But luckily over all of my breaks there will be steady updates and lots and lots of pictures.  But for now soccer and school work have taken over my life.

Deem some hot CREPES!!

          When my brother is home that means one things.  We make food together.  Preferably something that’s pretty bad for me.  this time we made crepes and home made hot chocolate.  I love working on things in the kitchen.  Putting on some awesome tunes and letting things cook.  It’s also nice to be cooking with someone else.   
I love hot chocolate.   It was on my Top Ten list for foods.  I’ve never made it from scratch before though.  I wasn’t sure what I was doing but it turned out fantastic, I loved it so much.  My brother had gotten the book above for me a couple of years ago.  I had forgotten about it until he asked me if I wanted to make some hot chocolate.  But there was something else to go with the hot chocolate that would be awesome…. some crepes.

There was once last food that was to go in between the hot chocolate and the crepes.  For the party we had made risotto and there was a lot left over.  So my brother made rice balls with the left over tomatoes and mozzarella.  they were really easy to make and tasted so goo.  Having the cheese and the tomatoes inside the rice and then we rolled it in flour and fried them.  They were so great.  I would defiantly make them again.

Ante Up

           For my mom’s and my step-dad’s birthday we have a party every year that has to do with the age they turn.  Since they turned 51 last year we had an Area 51 party.  This year since there are 52 cards in a deck we had a party that was card themed.  I decorated the tents and there was sooo much food.  It was fun to see all of their friends again.    The thing I love most about working on a party is, well I love a lot of it actually.  The planning is so fun because you can start to envision how everything is going to work.  My other favorite part is deffiatly the decorating.  It’s so much fun to see a place come together into something that is not only beautiful but if fun and fits with the rest of the party.Party’s are always something that brings a lot of fun to everyone that is involved.   Party’s aralso a way to show your creativity, having people look at what you did and thinking it amazing makes it all worth the time and the effort that you put into it,

We played blackjack and we decided to donate money to our local humane society so we had people donate and we played some blackjack for fun.  I got to deal for awhile which is always fun.

Rosy Completion

        For my mom’s birthday we went out to dinner at a fancy old hotel that we live near.  It was nice to put on the dress and a cute pair of heels.  I always feel so gross after work that wearing anything nice seems wrong but I really enjoyed dressing up like that.  But lately I’ve also been really excited to go back to school so getting back into the routine of finding something to wear is refreshing. 

Another thing I can’t wait to do at school is decorate my half of the room I’m going to have.  I think that decorating is one of the most exciting things about getting a new space to live in.
